Well I thought we were having another series of earthquakes yesterday. However it turns out they were playing war games at Vandenburg and they were only sonic booms. Sure turns your heart rate up anyway.
Since its summer and berry time I thought I would share this "healthy" recipe with you all. Seriously if you have heart trouble don't make this. Its an artery clogger for sure.
Creeping Crust Cobbler
1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tspn baking powder
1/2 cup milk
2 cups fresh berries
2 tablespoon sugar (or less for tarter taste)
1/2 cup water
Preheat oven to 350.
Melt butter in 10 in baking dish in oven.
Mix flour sugar and baking powder; stir in milk and blend.
Spoon batter over melted butter.
Heat berries with sugar (as needed) and water just till hot.
Pour over batter in baking dish.
Bake for 30 min or until golden.
Enjoy! (really yummy with vanilla ice cream!)
