Snow!

So we headed up to Sequoia National Park for the weekend. It was a really quick trip there until we actually hit the bounds of the park, then it got a little crazy. Its only 23 miles but it took an hour. Its a narrow, twisty road. CRAZY

We went with the Winter Family Fun package and got a free sled. Mommy McGuyver'd the sled with the tie from her jacket so we could pull it. Logan had to try his hand at it as well.

It was pretty fun. The weather was great. We were actually overdressed the first day. We were sweaty messes by the time we returned to the hotel. Logan was pretty unsure of it at first and I thought for sure we had wasted time and money by coming but he came around and pretty much didn't want to go home. We didn't have any good gloves that fit for him so he was not too impressed with snowman building and for whatever reason would not make a snowball. I had to supply him with all his ammo.

There were a few meltdowns but considering the lack of sleep it was to be expected. They were on 12 most of the time so it was VERY hard to get them to settle down to eat or sleep. Somehow I ended up with both of them in my bed and we had a bed hog battle in the middle of the night. Logan kept scooching over and scooching over and Ronan would get mad and start kicking and I'd have to shove Logan over and he kept saying "stop pushing you are going to push me off" (he had at least 2 feet on the other side of him. I was on my side and the only thing keeping me in the bed was I was shoved up against the nightstand thingie between the beds.

GRRR Judd owes me for that one for sure! Needless to say we didn't get a whole lot of sleeping in.

But we did have a good time so it was all worth it in the end. Now its time to wash the laundry and get ready for the new week.

Oh and somehow poor Harley got locked in the office (Daddy strikes again) and was petrified by the time we got home. I noticed her bowls were still completely full and my first thought was "oh no she's sick" so I ran downstairs to see if she was in here usual spot on the bed but no so I go hunting. I look in the office but I don't immediately see her. I call her name a few times and she finally answered. She had scrunched herself under the treadmill. Poor kitty!
