Also known as "family holiday time"
Why do family gatherings have to be such a pain in the arse? Why does everything have to be perfect and "done?" Blahhhhhhh
I've been attempting to make my Christmas lists and I really don't want to. I've come to hate buying presents, especially for adults.
I think I may be turning into a Grinch or maybe my latent hermit tendancies are coming out.

Oops! Made an error. I've already shopped and got my gifts for this year. However, I think we should talk about next year. I would like it if we could donate time to a kitchen at Thanksgiving as a family. And I would like it even more if we could donate to a favorite charity of each adult or decide no gifts at all and spend the whole budget on the kids. Except, that would be way toooooo much for the kids. Perhaps we could start saving bonds for them, or contributing to college funds and just a few toys for each. It would certainly be good lessons for them about giving. I think we should address this at Thanksgiving!!! Most of us adults have everything we need and thinking up gifts is difficult.
