catch up

Its catch up time again....

My laptop is dead.  Poor laptop.  Hoping the photos can be rescued from it.  In the meantime.....

My fair entries landed me a 2nd ad 4 thirds.   I really wish they would give you some sort of feeback so you would know how you did.   All of mine had "great flavor" on the cards but nothing else.  Nice but how does that equate to 2nd or 3rd or not placing at all?

 In August Logan and I headed down to Santa Barbara for a Run or Dye   event.  We hit El Capitan beach on Friday before checking in....

It was a lot of fun and now Logan wants to do more of them.  We may join friends in Santa Rosa in November to do that one.  He also conned me into doing the mud run at the Ravine in Sept.  I may die....

School started and I so far so good.  They are riding the bus to the Boys and Girls Club after school and think they are all that because of it.  After the 1st day they told me "you can drop us off mom, we don't need you to walk us in".  However by Friday, Ronan wanted me to walk him in.  I think the transition from 4 hours of kindergarten to 6 1/2 o 1st grade is a bit tiring!  They like their teachers.  So we shall see how the year progresses. Logan's STAR testing has him in Advanced in Math and Proficient in Language Arts. His writing dragged him down there as he was only a couple points down.
