Huge sigh of relief. I'm tired. Tired of driving, tired of crabby kids, tired of not having enough time to get stuff done. whine whine whine......
We had a meet & greet at Logan's school Thurs night. Although there wasn't much meeting or greeting going on, rather a waste of time actually. But whatever. There will be loads of projects/performances/field trips in my future. We've gotten 2 weekly reviews. Logan seems to be doing very well. He really likes to work on the puzzles during work time. He even helps the other kids. The only drawback seems to be extreme tiredness. He's going to bed at 7:30, getting up at 7. You'd think 11 1/2 would be sufficient, but he is on the ragged edge by 6:30. The teacher said he is sleeping during quiet time so thats another 1-2 hrs. Maybe I need to put to bed at 7. Although how I'm going to get dinner made & eaten in an hour I can't quite figure yet. He hates getting dropped off now and has cried everyday. Teacher says about a minute after I leave he's rampaging around with the others. He is covered head to toe with, dirt, sand, mud, snot & food when I pick him up so I know he's having fun, but he sure knows how to twist the knife when I drop him off.
Ronan had his 4 mo checkup Thurs too. He is 17 lbs 9 oz (92%) and 26 1/2" (95%). His noggin has grown too its up to 60th percentile. That may be due to the # of times he's been bonked this past week. His newly acquired skill of rolling has provided much entertainment but it also provided a major bonk when he rolled off the bed! Judd was getting Logan out of the bath and I heard a crash and screaming from the bathroom so I run in there to make sure there is no blood or other bodily injury only to hear the muffled whump of a little body hitting the floor in the bedroom. OOPS. Guess I should have made sure he was in the middle of the bed. Mother of the Year, thats me. Then I was putting the dishes away and I went to put him up over my shoulder and bonked his head on the open cabinet AND I was holding him in one arm in front of me, turned in my office and bonked his head on the door. Jeez if he isn't brain damaged I'll be amazed. Someone is going to think I'm abusing him. although nothing has left a mark... Yet.
He got 3 shots. He was quite tough. He cried when he got the shots but as soon as I picked him up he was fine. He was a bit crabby later in the day and he's been a tad crabby today.
So this weekend I need to try and find milk for Logans lunches. WTH is up with no one carrying lunchbox sized milk? There is chocolate milk, juice and other sugar to the hilt lunchbox size drinks but NO REG MILK. I did find some at New Frontiers in SLO but when I went back to get more they only had CHOCOLATE. ARGHHHHH! And I need to get cracking on a baby quilt. My friend Cheryl (we met in Lamaze class when I was pregnant with Logan and she with Aidan) is due any minute. And do laundry and clean. hmmm, I wonder if I can get some sleep in there too.

I can totally relate to the late evenings … Will doesn’t get home from work until 6:15 or 6:30 and the boy goes down by 7:30 as well, so we’re having to squeeze dinner, playtime, clean-up, bath … you get the picture. Sounds like Logan’s definitely having a blast though, so I’m sure that’s reassuring for ya! Even though the drop-off must be so hard for Mama.
Now, Ronan-boy is just growing like a weed! I almost peed my pants with all the head-bonking stories. Pretty funny. Oh, and the shots … eek. Not looking forward to those!
Whew! Maybe Judd can find a bike helmet to fit! Now, that would be a picture. As for Logan, he sounds like he's doing fine. It's all part of growing up. I hope you are keeping copies of all your blog entries and slipping them into a folder for later when they are grown and you have time to do some scrapbooking. It will have so many memories you will cherish, and be glad you kept. Love you all! Mom
