And boy can I use it!
These past few weeks have been rough. Seems like all of my friends are having some sort of trouble or another. Either with marriages, relatives dying, losing jobs. Its depressing. We are having issues with our work too. Its a really stressful time now, with the economy in the tank and gas and food prices so high. Sigh.....
But on a lighter note this weekend I get to get together with my oldest and dearest friends. We rented a house in Monterey and are spending a belated 40th birthday weekend together. Its going to be fun even though we might get rained on. We had planned on going to New York for a week but life has interfered with that plan so Monterey is the substitute. Not quite as exciting as NY but I'll take what I can get at this point.
It seems hard to be grateful for what you have rather than yearn after what you don't but after listening to everyone's stories I'm going to try and be a little more grateful for what I do have. 2 sweet (most of the time) boys, a loving husband (even if he is a jerk sometimes) and terrific friends. I'm reasonably healthy and I do have a job and a home so life could be much worse.
Hope you all know I love you and miss you and hope things turn out the best for all.

You are too cute! You enjoy your vacation...you deserve it! If a chubby girl knocks on your cabin door demanding in...well, it's me!
