I'm stealing this idea

Ok anyone with 2 or more children especially toddler and younger realize sharing is a word unknown to them and no amount of harping about it will make it true.

I found this site called Parent Hacks and saw this post

"Toy Jail" emphasizes the mutual benefit of sharing

Our toddlers are 17 months apart and are constantly competing for toys. That's a nice way of putting it, right? :) I'm not a yeller, and I see that sharing is hard, so if things get heated, the toys go into Toy Jail. "This toy is causing a whole bunch of trouble today. Let's put it in jail and see if we'll have a better day with it tomorrow." Some of the hotly contested toys live in toy jail, poor things, but it seems to work about 80% of the time. My four year-old will stop and say, "Here, you take it before it goes into Toy Jail."

I am so going to try this idea out. Ronan will pretty much give up any toy to his big bro. However the reverse is NOT true. I'm over hearing "but I don't want to share" or my particular fav "Ronan doesn't want to share with me". The more accurate meaning of that is I don't want to share with Ronan.

Going to have to find a good sized box and paint some bars on it and Toy Jail in CAPS!
