After Midnight

Yesterday was quite a doozy!

After school we stopped by Leslie's to visit. She and Jenna were happy to seen Ronan and he of course just cruised in and made himself at home. They are going to be having a new arrival in May so thats pretty exciting news.

Can't believe his first full week of school is over. He's done really well. Its nice only having one drop off and pick up place although Mondays and Fridays are a bit tough. Trying to carry two lunchboxes, blankets, pillows and other assorted paraphanelia is a challenge.

Then after we got home Gramma came over and I headed over to my friend Cheryl's. She wants to make a baby quilt for her cousin so I took over some fabric and we picked out and cut out squares for it. After we designed it and got it cut out we decided to have some tea and chat for a bit. Well the bit was a tad longer that we thought! We were just sitting and jibber jabbering about this and that and the other thing and finally I said "well I should go rescue Gramma, she's probably about ready to fall asleep on the couch (thinking its like 10). so we go to pack up all the stuff I brought and Cheryl goes " Its 11:45!" WHAT? How did that happen?

Luckily Judd came home early so Gramma was relieved of duty a little after 10. It was super windy on the drive home so there was no problem staying awake. It was such fun and well worth the extreme tiredness today. Ronan, of course decided that 3:15 was a good time to get up, so I got a solid 3 hours of sleep, got him back to sleep but he was up for the day at 5:20. Blagh

It was just so nice to just talk to another adult and one that is experiencing similar challenges with child rearing. Makes you not feel like a complete idiot.

Have had one cup of expresso this morning, might need another to make it to nap time.
