another week down

How is it Saturday already?  Did I sleep all week?

Anyway since Logan's conference in an attempt to get him to listen and not goof off he now has a behavior chart at school.  Its broken up into seven periods and he either gets a frownie face, an ok or a star.  After a week or so of mostly stars and a few oks and one frownie on Wed of this week I pick up Logan and he is nearly busting at the seams when I open the gate.  He's screaming I got ALL stars!  He was SOOOO proud and he did it again the next day.  Plus Friday was their field trip to the Childrens Museum so it was a banner week for Logan.  It did not start out so great however.

Tuesdays and Thursdays I take a boxing class at a local boxing gym.  Its at 5.  Judd picks up the boys from preschool and after school care.  I generally ride my bike over to the gym since its close and it eliminates the need for jumping rope (which I totally suck at) since I'm all warmed up by the time I get there. So on Tuesday I finish at the gym and ride back to the warehouse.  I see my car and go in, put my bike away and think "jeez its awfully quiet, I wonder where Judd has the boys"  I don't think too much of it, thinking maybe they were in the back helping load the trailer for the race(Sea Otter this weekend up at Laguna Seca, biggest amatuer race series in Cali).  I go in and get in the shower.  When I'm finished, dressed and coming out I think "jeez its still awfully quiet in here."  I gather my stuff and think "I'll just put this stuff in the car and then go looking".  I walk outside and........ no car.  hmmmmm I did see my car when I rode in didn't I?  Then Jorge walks by and he sees the dumbfounded and confused look on my face and says " he forgot".  HE FORGOT THE KIDS!  Both places close at 5:30 and he didn't pick them up until nearly 6:45.  They called all the numbers, cell phone, home, work, Uncle Clay, Gramma.  Gramma actually came over to come rescue Ronan but by that time Judd has already picked him up.  Judd would have probably still been there had Leslie not finally gotten ahold of him (umm its 6:30 are you coming to get Logan?)  YEESH, really is it that hard to remember two days a week?  And since I leave at 4:40 could you not just leave then to pick them up?  Then there would be no getting involved in something and FORGETTING.

Needless to say both boys are extremely worried about being forgotten.  They asked on Wed:  Do you have boxing tonight? and again on Thursday and again on Friday.  We have reasurred them that it was a one time incident and Daddy was really busy and just lost track of time and Mommy promises to never leave her cell phone at work and will take it to the gym so someone can call me.

Now off to the car show and London's birthday party.  More great fun for Logan.
