We went to the animal shelter to "look" for an orange kitten. We came home with Mac.
The boys were both in the Pioneer Days parade, and got new boots!
Logan and Mac chillin. He is the sweetest kitten. He doesn't mind the boys hauling him about or hanging him upside down and was not in any way intimidated by Hannah. She growled and hissed and growled and yowled everytime she saw him. She'd look for him everywhere. He'd bop up to her and rub against her while she was growling and spitting then bop off again. I thought she would never stop growling.
We stopped at Jack Creek to pick out pumpkins
Love the look on Ronan's face
It only took about two weeks for Hannah to submit to Mac's cuteness.
Our friend JD got married so he got a chance to dress up and go out.
Mac will play with anything.
The boys were going to stay up all night.... they lasted to about 10
Decorating T shirts
I decided to make my own vanilla extract. Take on bottle of good vodka
Pour two cups into a canning jar
Add 6 vanilla beans, split almost to the end. Store in a cool dark place.
Give it a shake every week or so. This is after 3 days. Should sit about 8 weeks for best flavor.
This is a quince. Ugly suckers but make great jelly.
Chop them up. Cook about 45 min.
Then mash them up.
and strain them. Nice jelly strainer eh?
Add about 3/4 cup of sugar for each cup of juice.
and it turns into beautiful rose jelly!
We met up with Cheryl and Sara today. We were all in Lamaze class together and had our boys within weeks of each other. We still get together and play.
Next up Halloween!

You have the best time, and you are sooo crafty! I want to try making fresh vanilla like that. How dark is it now? I bet it is so yummy!
