So it was a dark and stormy night, well not really it was a bright and sorta sunny Sunday and since Halloween was the next day we decided we'd better get on the stick and carve our pumpkins. Ronan had actually picked out two of the little small not carvable pumpkins for his so he drew on them instead. Scary isn't he?
The boys were very excited to carve the pumpkins until it came to the actual carving part. They both yelled NOOOOOO and ran back inside when I asked if they were going to scoop them out. Notice that darn Mac in my plant (which is why its housed outside now)
Mac ain't scared of no pumpkins
This is what Ronan thought of the whole process
Mac probably ate his weight in pumpkin while I was carving.
The finished products, not too bad I say.
Logan took this very "focused" photo of Hannah down on the lower roof.
Then it was time for Halloween!
You can feel safe world, Buzz is on the job!
and Kai the ninja of fire also protecting the world from evil doers.
Unfortunately Buzz 's uniform was a little on the see through side. You can see Mater's eyes peering at you. I should have had him wear his Buzz undies!
We went downtown in the square and trick or treated. Almost all of the businesses around the square and over a few blocks had candy for the kids. In the park they also had pumpkin carving contests, witches and other goulish stuff. We didn't even make it to all of the businesses. We hit about 2 1/2 blocks worth and both of them were "can we go now?" They didn't get at much candy as last year but they still got several weeks worth even with me taking out the gum, hard candies and stuff they didn't like.
