So Tuesday morning (1 am)I'm sleeping and here this horrendous WHUMP of a small body hitting the floor. From the sound I was sure Logan had somehow managed to fall out of the top bunk. I hot foot it into their room to find Ronan on the floor crying. I pick him up and pat him and ask him if he's ok. He's either still half asleep or going back to sleep, he just mumbles ouch a few times. I lay down with him and he snuggles up and says ouch and shows me his hands. I figure he landed on them so I give them a smooch and he goes back to sleep. I return to my bed.
When the alarms goes off, I get up and get dressed (in the dark, I lay my clothes out the night before so I don't have to wake up Judd by turning on the light) and go upstairs to start making lunches and breakfast. Ronan wakes up and yells for me so I go down and get him and bring him upstairs. He has some muffin and is farting around in the living room. He then goes into the bathroom and I can hear him rooting around in the cabinet. He then yells "mom come open dis" What dis I think. I go in and he has the first aid kit. Our conversation went:
M: What do you want with that?
R: Need banaid
M; You need a band aid?
R: yes
M: For what?
R: my chin
M: (thinking to self) ummm ok (he has this thing about band aids and puts them on for any reason
M: gets bandaid and unwraps it : Where do you want it?
R: Here (and lifts his chin)
I nearly fell over.
M: How did you do that? When did you do that? did you do that this morning?
R: {crickets}
M: how did that happen
R: Bed did it
M: That happened last night when you fell out of bed?
R: yes
R: yes
So I clean it up and put some Neosporin on and and a band aid. I go wake Logan up and look at Ronan's bed. There is blood all over the pillow. I go look at my PJs and there is blood all over my shirt! Cripes! I had no idea. I felt like a total heel.
It doesn't seem to bother him much except when I try to clean it. Not sure if i should take him in and get it stitched or super glued. It isn't bleeding or anything but man it looks nasty.
He must have landed on a train or something. Blagh

Poor Baby! I wouldn't think if it isn't still bleeding he would need stitches. There is this new stuff which is like super glue, only made
especially for band aid repairs. I saw it on the band aid isle. I'd try some of the scar stuff, too. It really worked great when Emma was bitten. You cannot see much in the way of a scar on her. I thought she would be scarred for life! Accidents happen and parents are not infallible. So, don't beat yourself up! To remove the blood stains, dampen the area, rub with baking soda. Follow up by dabbing the area with hydrogen peroxide until the stain is gone. Test for colorfastness first, though.
