Legoland

So we packed up and headed out Tuesday for Legoland.  We stayed at the Grand Pacific Palisades which is pretty much right across the street.  Wed morning we had some breakfast and headed over.  Its really well set up.  Lot of different play areas next to the ride areas.  They have good food too.  Expensive but not crap.

There was another family in front of us with boys about the same age.  The younger one was whiny and kept saying he wanted a drink.  His mom was starting to lose patience.  I grinned at her and said "why did we think this was a good idea? and "we are making memories dammit!" She laughed and the line finally started moving again.

One of my good online friends lives in Oceanside which is just about 10 minutest away.  We were trying to conceive at the same time and suffered through months of trying.  Our boys are 4 days apart.  We met for dinner and it was like we'd been friends forever.  There was no nervousness no weirdness.  The boys all got along fine and even her husband Brian and Judd got along great.  (both Cowboys fans)

we also went and saw Judds uncle and aunt in El Cajon.  All in all it was a really fun trip.  Long but fun.
