Survived the first week

There he is, my 1st grader.  He made it through the first week just fine.  He is pretty tired at the end of the day.  No major meltdowns yet.  Twice he's fallen asleep in the car on the way home.

He looks very studious.  They have the desks set up in 4's and he is sitting with a friend from preschool, Alex and a friend from his kinder class, Jacob.  I don't know the other boy.

and in other exciting news.  Ronan finally made it all the way across the rings at Leslies.  He's been trying and whining and crying about not being able to do it. The rules are you have to do it yourself (unless you are a baby-not able to hang on by yourself).  If you are strong enough to hang and swing, you do it yourself.  He was very upset each time he fell and we told him we wouldn't help but he finally got it.  I don't know who was the most excited, me, Leslie or Ronan.
