Water Exploration day 2

was much better than day 1!
Yesterday Logan wanted nothing to do with swimming lessons. Screamed, cried, kicking, snot flying, you name it he did it. So we would sit him on the side or on the steps and when Granny would swim away he'd go "Logan swim?" Back into the water, repeat screaming scenario. Did not even want to swim with me. Logan thy name is CONTRARY!
Today however I went into the pool and told him he could sit with Gramma and Ronan while I swam. Also today was trash day so there were 2 big garbage trucks down at the park which were MUCH more interesting than swimming with me, thank you very much. Then he comes over to the edge and says "mommy get out?" Nope I'm swimming. He holds out his hands so I take them and he pulls and says again "mommy out?" Nope I'm swimming. I take a chance and pick him up and "fly" him over my head and then bring him down into the water and wonder of wonders no screaming. He just splashed and kicked and even blew some bubbles. He even tried swimming with a water noodle. PROGRESS!

On another front, I have an interview tomorrow with a potential babysitter/nanny. We will see how that goes. I really wish he could go out to a place rather than have someone come in, if only for the socialization aspect and independance. But at this point I'll take what I can get.

Ronan's rash is much improved. He has 2 more days of antibiotics. I am 99% certain its a reaction to his carseat. He's so jowly and like a little oven anyway, he gets really heated up in there. I've taken to making sure there is no skin contact and have seen improvement. The first couple of days I didn't cover the areas and it would get redder and more irritated looking. The rash is on all his contact points, back of his head, elbows and neck. So hopefully once the antibiotics are done and I make sure he's skin isn't against the seat it won't recur.

And even better, the screaming at bath/bed has decreased dramatically. The last few days at bedtime its only lasted less than 5 min. PROGRESS!
