playdate!

Headed off to Del Mar Park this morning to meet up with Cheryl, Aidan and Owyn. It was pretty foggy so everything was a little damp.


Didn't stop the boys from hitting the slides though


The funny thing about this picture is Aidan and Logan are only a week apart in age. However Ronan is 5 months older than Owyn...... Shrimp!!!


Ronan was a crazy man, running all over. He is fearless. He climbed all the stairs everywhere. He even went up the stairs to the big slide all by himself and they are pretty steep! I think he wore himself out dont you?



And a funny. Before Cheryl and the boys got there we decided we would climb to the top of the play structure. The only way down is a big green twisty slide or attempting to climb back down a ladder which I wasn't willing to do while trying to hold Ronan. Anyway since it was a little damp I had the bright idea of putting my jacket on the slide so I wouldn't get my pants wet. Can you see where this is going?????
So Ronan and I climb on and take off. The fleece and water make it so slippery we shoot out the end of the slide like a champagne cork! We ended up on our backs about 2 feet from the end of the slide. We are laying there laughing when Logan comes flying out and lands(sitting straight up) on his bum. It was so funny to see him flying out of there. Just call me mom of the year 'cause all I could do was lay there laughing my arse off while Logan is scared out of his wits.
Yes supermom = me!

It was really fun though. Sun never really did come out but just about when we were leaving it was starting to warm up. Now its almost nap time so I need to try and get the pumpkins ready to go....
